A series of collages composed of extracts from 1970's instructional children's craft book and a book of minerals printed in the 1970's. After looking at animators such as Ivor Wood (Postman Pat 1981, Paddington 1975), I became drawn to the eerie expectation generated by the periods of inaction, characters slow movements and long unbroken takes. I wanted these collages to emulate a silent wait and a sense of expectation.
